Steve leads Waymark Systems with over 20 years of experience in software design, development, and technical leadership. He has led high-performing R&D teams and delivered complex healthcare technology at national and international scale.
His work includes architecting clinical software platforms serving over 200 million patients, building high-throughput clinical data platforms, developing FHIR aggregation APIs that unify data from diverse systems, and applying deep expertise in clinical terminologies to design clinically meaningful data models.
He has played key roles in major initiatives including the Australian Government Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), the UK NHS GP Connect program, and New Zealand's e-Prescribing system.
Steve is a recognised expert in FHIR standards and healthcare interoperability, and has led the development of nationally agreed FHIR specifications and driven real-world adoption across Australia.
